Saturday, April 15
Walking through Whistler Village, skis on my shoulder.
A view down a blue run, clouds in the distance. It's snowing, and
there is plenty of fresh untouched pow. This place is awesome!
Headed into the Saddle.
Some easy runs merge, great view into the distance.
Whistler Village is out of sight in the valley below, with route 99
running through it.
Sunday, April 16
Ski instructor Marcus, using his femur to point a ski.
It's snowing, and there is lots of fresh pow. What a great day!
The Roundhouse (the top of the Whistler Gondola) on the left.
Lots of vertical between here and the bottom of the mountain!
(Sorry, shaky photo.)
Monday, April 17
View over the cornice at Horseshoe 7, a double black diamond,
with the Harmony Express lift in view. It's straight down perhaps
30 feet from here. No, I didn't ski this entry to the bowl!
A view from Harmony Ridge over to Blackcomb.
Going up Harmony Express.
Horseshoe 7 overhang is square in the middle of the photo.
Nobody else on the lift!
Another shot, going up Harmony Express.
Horseshoe 7 in the middle of the photo.
The top of Blackcomb Glacier, people on top of The Blow.
View from the top of the Blow, into clouds.
It's impossible to tell from this photo just how "straight down" the
camera is pointing!
Tour on top of Blackcomb Glacier.
Every skier in this group was a strong Advanced or Expert skier. An
awesome tour!
View up the opposite side of the glacier.
Sky has cleared.
It's big! Contrast in the photo is poor and it's impossible to tell
how far away the ridgeline is, but if someone was standing on top of
the rock, they would be a pixel or two tall at most.
View down the glacier. Poles marking the "blue run".
Same as last shot panned left: View down the glacier.
View back up the glacier to the Blow.
Looks small from here, doesn't it!
(See the little dots -- those are people.)
Telephoto view from Blackcomb to Whistler.
Harmony Express in the middle of the shot.
Same shot from Blackcomb to Whistler with wide zoom.
Tuesday, April 18 -- ski a little, fly home!
No photos due to crappy weather and a desperate need to get in every
last minute of skiing. Visit Whistler yourself, you bum!
